My Vacation

Hello Friends and all my visitors,

This is my blog to let you know that Atom and I now are going to Bangkok Thailand, which is my home town to visit my parents...planning for about two months ...so I might not be able to be on line so often like I used to or as I want to...but I will try to make it up for sure.

My Trip to Nha Trang (Vietnam)

Hi dear, how are you doing? Due to the public holidays in Vietnam, Liberation of Saigon Day(April 30) and International Labour Day(May 1), I took a trip to Nha Trang with my Thai friends in Vietnam...all together...about 6 families. I really want to share this experience with you all but let me first give you an overview about Nha Trang.

Nha Trang (1450 km South of Hanoi and 450 km North of Ho Chi Minh City) is the capital of Khanh Hoa province, lies along the East sea with population of 240,000. The name of Nha Trang comes from Cham word "Ea" means water and "tran" - bamboo). Nha Trang possesses many islands, clean beaches, coastal climate, sunshine. Average temperature is 23C. Summer lasts from May to August. The rainy season runs only from October through early December.

Nha Trang is Vietnam's best-known beach destination with miles of white sandy beaches, swaying coconut plams and wonderful fresh seafood restaurants.

Well, this trip was kind of sudden and unplanned ( to me). At the beginning, I was asked by P'Tai (a Thai lady here in Vietnam) to go to Phan Thiet ( another famous beach about 4 hours drive from HCMC) with her and other Thai families for 3 days 2 nights (SAT-MON). Since I have never been any where far from town, why not? then I said O.K.

Later... I got a call from the same lady told me a bad news that there was a mistake...a big one...they booked and paid for the wrong hotel in Nha Trang instead of Phan Theit, what a mistake !!!! 4 hours plus 4 hours more of driving !!! unbeliveable.

And for god sake...I went along with that. But I still had some luck left though. I were able to get a plane ticket to Nha Trang at the last minute.!!! (Thanks to Mrs. Neena)

I had to leave home to the airport very early morning (4.30am) on Sat 29th. So I decided to stay up all night and got things done including my sandwiches to go. My flight to Nha Trang was 6.30am. I got to the airport 5.00am but with my luck (bad luck) I got some problem with my son's ticket..... almost missed the flight.....took me the last minute to get on the plane.....the last passenger to Nha Trang.

It took me about 50mins to get there....wow! finally ....from the airport (very very small one...like bus station more than an airport to me) we went to the hotel. It is a very new hotel ( 2months old) " Asia Paradise Hotel" everything o.k. just doesn't have a private beach. We went to eat...swim...shop & chat...

The next day we all took a boat trip to see some islands...very popular here...there are a lots of island to visit. My Atom had so much fun. I didn't do anything much...just tried to relax and watch my son. but I had a good time.

We left the next day after one more round at the sea...swimming (Atom) and feeling like getting some cold...

Well, we left Nha Trang at 4.00pm and got to HCMC- our home around 8.00pm.

So tired and slept like a baby......end.

P.S. Atom & I got very sick for a week after this trip.
